The last half read better than the first. If you’re looking for justice for a tragic, often forgotten, terrorist attack in our Capitol, this isn’t the read. But, if like me you are a closet Chilean, and need more background on the event, then this book packs all the details. My book copy is signed as a gift from the book’s hero, Carter Cornick (thanks to his daughter-in-law), making the read even more relevant. One wonders which little big town in America the cowardly antagonist Michael Townley skulks about under protection. RIP to the many victims of Chile’s long flirtation with authoritarianism. Some buried lessons in these pages for our world’s current political dance.
