Though he knows about the secret Mayan prophesy that his father and
grandfather were a part of, Josh still hasn't solved the mystery
surrounding his father's death. But when Josh learns that a special
artifact, the Bracelet of Itzamna, is the key to both that and the
mystery of the codex, he must return to the hidden city of Ek Naab.
Only this time he must do it alone-because a

As reviewed by my 11yr old:

This action-packed novel has a great plot, awesome action scenes, and many twists. My favourite part is when Simon Madison locks Josh in a cellar, because you can really empathise with the true terror Josh is feeling. Simon Madison is a very intriguing character as he always appears when you least expect it.

You can't put this book down and it's guaranteed to make your pulse race!

The Joshua Files is a very good series and I highly recommend it.

Rating: 10 stars :)

Setelah enam bulan berlalu, petualangan Josh kembali dimulai.

ceritanya bikin penasaran tiap babnya

EDIT REVIEW SETELAH REREAD:

I've read the first book before and decided to read the second book. I thought that it would not be as good as the first but it was actually pretty good. In this one it continues with the mysterious death of his father and Joshua the main character recieves mysterious postcards from Mexico but it turns out that he's being betrayed by someone close to him everything from there takes him back to Mexico. This book takes a big turn of events later on in the book that I didn't see coming. He has to i ...more

Kondisi ibu Josh

This is book #2 in the series The Joshua Files. It's a great series, although by its very subject, it dates the book and series. I almost gave it 5 stars; it's that good.

As the Mayan prophesy of 2012 draws near, Josh is still haunted by the details of his father's death in Mexico. He lives in Oxford, England with his mom but his dreams keeps drawing him back to Mexico where he had his last dangerous adventure among the ancient race of Mayans and the people who want their knowledge desperately en

lebih lama membaca yang satu ini karena sudah sempat terhenti.. buku pertama ahh just a day, and this one.. couple of days :-*

wow it's been quite a while since I read the last book.. It's been like two years or so. I can't really remember.
But it's cool. I can still recall some parts of the story, and before I knew it.. the story gets better.
it's rare you know, books that gets better in their sequels.
but for me, this is definitely an example. a good example :)

the story grows on me. I used to be not so interested with this book but now I can't take my eyes off of it!! lol

This is one of the best books I have ever read. I love the thrill seeking, spine tingling back break In imaginative details in this book. This has some of the best people to. They have so much detail it is amazing. I really really like this book. I like how there are more characters than i thought and that they stab the other ones in the back and shoot them in the leg. I think that you should read all these books. starting with invisible city and ending with whatever book is last in the series. ...more

My bad, i should have noticed the little note on the side stating "Book Two" - it took me quite a while to figure out what the heck was going on. I expect had I read book one, this would have made more sense, but it was a nice read -- moves quickly with good lead characters Josh and Ixchel who have a cool hot and cold relationship. Fairly exciting and neat tie in to the Mayan and Mexican cultures.

Aaaah! Both of them are smart, that's for sure! Haha.. beli lagi ah lanjutannya :)

The many unexpected twists of the plot and strange adventures keep my interest so far. That, & I find Joshua a sympathetic character to follow through a series as long as this.I'm not yet willing to rate it past three stars as I don't see the depth that I do in several other MG & YA fantasies I've read, but there's a chance that depth will come. I do recommend this to anyone who wants and interesting & exciting read.

Again, The fact that the main character is only 14 years old really bug me. And actually this book didn't come as strong as I wanted it to be. Just because I have read the first book, I have the tendency to read all the series. Besides there're still so many whys in it that keep me going on. I guess that is enough reason to read it. The conspiracy of the end of the world....

What a rollercoaster ride that was! It took a little while to get back into the swing of things as it had been quite a while since I first read Invisible City, but once I did it was non-stop. The action, the mystery, the 'what-next?' and 'who-dun-it' was so much fun. Leaping straight into book 3 now :D

Jilid #2 maknyoss, seru abis.
Bunga Mawar

Josh. Is. Amazing. How can he do all those get away stunts? Freaking awesome! If that is real, that is just incredible. Madison is creeping me out, he really is a bad guy. I was so shocked when Ollies' secret was revealed. I'm glad that Ixchel and Josh are getting closer, I do hope that they end up together. I was confused when the found Joshs' dad on the mountain, but whatever.
