Since we are thinking of moving to Arizona, and I love much of the Southwestern style of architecture and design, I thought this would be the perfect book. It is copyright 2005, so some of the looks are a little dated, but that is to be expected. What I did not realize is that the book is about homes in the Southwest, not necessarily Southwestern design. Some rooms featured were very modern, or very ornate, and probably a quarter or less were actually Southwestern design, so that was a little disappointing. On the whole, though, the photography and descriptions were very well done. I also liked the organization of the book into different spaces (sleeping, kitchens, etc.).
