As a child, Kristina Cook took her nose out of a book only long enough to take a ballet class (or five) each week. Not much has changed since then, except she’s added motherhood to the mix and now enjoys penning her own novels as much as reading everybody else’s. Before turning her hand to historical romance, Kristina did graduate work at Columbia University and wrote grant proposals for some of New York City's top cultural institutions. After the birth of her second child, she decided to finally write that novel she'd always wanted to write. The rest, as they say, is history. Kristina lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
I was constantly fighting to see Colin as a strong, manly, hero. Brenna definitely was the stronger character. Jane and Lucy's characters even over shadowed Colin's.
This was definitely a great read! I loved the turn of events and how Colin finally came to his senses. Brenna was such a lovely girl, truly innocent and loyal; much like Lucy in her story with Henry. After all that Colin had been through, in the story before this one and the scandals with Sinclair & Hugh, he finally got the happiness that he deserved. Would read it again!
This is book #2 of the series and Unveiled, Jane,s story is book #3. Undressed is every bit as good as Unlaced. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The only thing that would have made the story better is the villains were more evil in their scheming against Colin and Brenna. Definitely recommend reading the entire series.
Solid romance, not to much character developement between the couple...they just seem to like each other...but it somehow works in this book as they are both fairly nice, inoffensive people without huge profiles or personalities.
This was an interesting mixture of characters. It was not the typical, expected cast. I felt more details, about key players, could have been added to enhance the story.
