Pretty dated now but a good book to quickly review the history of terrorist organizations in the 80s and 90s.

University level introductory material, with an impressive depth of detail for the wide array of perspective given; differentiates historically and characteristically, between State Terror and guerilla warfare, and Old and New terrorism (the nationalistic vs the idiosyncratic respectively), in addition to the various methods of counterterrorism developing internationally to the new modes of violence.
