Have you ever been played? Most will say, yes, and just take the defeat on the chin, but not Zariah Hartfield. Life had already dealt her a bad hand, landing her in a two-bedroom apartment with a roommate who thought she was a nut-case, and who desperately tried to get away from Zariah and her odd behavior and controlling ways. As luck would have it, Zariah hooked up with Hardy, a sexy, suave piece of eye candy who laughed her out of her panties the first night then tried to tell her to forget it ever happened the next day. Unfortunately, Hardy wasn't aware of her past and that the woman he'd slept with wasn't the forgiving type. Before long, his wife is in danger and Hardy's secrets are exposed . Zariah wants revenge and decides she deserves everything she's always been missing; money, power, and respect. With Zariah's over the top personality and tricks up her sleeve, this book is a cross between the modern day fatal attraction and single black female. Beware!
This book was a page turner up to the last page and was filled with so much suspense. Zaria is the main character and she is a cross between Fatal Attraction and Single White (Black in this case) Female. Zaria exhibits very odd and controlling behaviors, mostly towards her ex and roommate. When Zaria meets Hardy and sleeps with him the first night, he disses her the next day, and from there the drama really begins. The things Zaria did in this book could never be expected. People you better think twice before you have a One Night Stand, it could forever change your life. I would definitely recommend this book, and I am looking forward to the sequel.
All I could say is Zaria took crazy to a new height. She was fighting with her inner self and allowed it to control her life. I hated how she treated her roommate Milan when she was the reason things between them changed. Hardy was the typical player and had no regards to the consequences of his actions. For some reason he couldn't get right and played a dangerous game once meeting Zaria. He didn't think much of what was only a one night stand until the stakes intensified. Zaria misread everyone she dealt with and her delusional mind had her thinking those she came in contact with wanted more from her. It took Zaria going after the one thing Hardy loved before he realized the seriousness of what he'd gotten caught up in. I was hoping someone would put Zaria out of her misery especially after how she treated Terrell. Things were coming out left to right on bout Zaria and Hardy's life. Aunt Lisa was a shocker but I guess that's a price to pay for being too trusting. Dealing with Devin will surely put Zaria in the same situation yet again. After doing whatever he wanted for so long, Hardy saw not only what it felt to be cheated on, but also some one night stands aren't worth the pain that follows.
This book was unbelievable and I can't wait to read the second one . It will really and truly make you think twice before you fuck or even contemplate the idea of a one night stand and that's all this girl Zaria tended to have , she felt like if she gave you the pussy that makes yaLL together which is total and complete bullshit .. She scared me with her antics ways ... But from reading the book It all came back to the fact of her wanting to be loved .. Everyone that she put her trust in literally fucked her over. Jamal , Milan , her father , auntie , Hardy and even Devin .., So for her mindframe to be the way it is I can't even blame her, I loved the book .. Can't wait can't wait to read the next one . I wonder if she is gonna get caught this tlme because justice never was Served !!
Ok, I totally loved this book in the beginning but toward the ending it started getting to be too much but I still enjoyed it. For anyone who is thinking about cheating, you need to read this! And seriously Hardy had issues. Who in the hell thinks about getting some after their child is murdered? I was happy when it was revealed that his wife had been seeing his best friend. He got what he deserved! That damn Zaria was a hot mess. I'm glad I never had someone like her for a teacher! I'll be reading the sequel pronto!

Although this book had page turning drama that sucked me in from the first page, the main character and her antics eventually exhausted me. I've read a lot of books and she may have been the craziest broad I have ever encountered. I'm not sure if I will continue th series, not because it was bad book, but because I'm not sure that my mental can take it lol. If you enjoy psycho chic lit, this book is for you.
I liked this book, the title drew me in. But I really hate the way it ended I have so many unanswered questions regarding the characters!! And Zaria is totally off the chain!! Can't wait for the sequel to see what happens next!
.... This book was beyond crazy BUT I LOVED IT! I'm sorry but it had me from the beginning to the end. It was somewhat predictable but it had a few twist in there to keep you wanting more. Everyone had issues.
Zaria was the true definition on "Looney Tunes". I understand why she was so damn crazy but my wow!! I got really emotional towards the end. I couldnt believe it went down like that. Will be starting part 2 soon.
This was a good book! definitely a page turner and had a lot of drama ! I would reccomend this book to anyone ! good job kendall banks ! cant wait to read the sequel!
This book was so well written with all of its twists and turns and Zaria's CRAZT AZZ! WHEW! Loved it. It was like watching a movie! Great Job Kendall Banks! Looking forward to part 2!
I wanted to like this book but it suffers from poor editing which is a major pet peeve of mine.
The story is about Zaria, a single school teacher, who has a one night stand with her co-worker. This author definitely gets an A for effort for attempting to write a book that has a unique concept. Zaria suffers from mental illness and my guess is the author was trying to use Zaria's illness to give a spin on the typical woman scorned plot.
Overall I found the book a little over the top for my taste. I do think this book has an audience with urban fiction readers, so for readers who are running out of suggestions I would possibly refer them to this author.
