I was in the mood for dragon and got more than my fill in this story were dragon meet dragon slayer. Ja’Darien may not be a slayer in this situation. Kerkira has one up on him since he recognizes him as his mate. But a relationship between a dragon and dragon slayer would never work; or would it?

Short stories for me in the past have been perplexing. I just cannot seem to get into the plot as much as I would like in such a short amount of time. Except in this story the plot was so action packed

Mercy of the Dragon is short at only 17 pages, but the world KyAnn Waters has created does leave you wanting more. The conflicted Ja'darien who lusts after the dragons he kills is a particularly interesting character, who could have been explored in greater depth.

Apart from wanting a longer story, my only real gripe is the characters' names. Kerkira, the dragon, is passable, but Ja'darien? He is cursed with the type of alien name that does not exactly roll off the tongue easily. Why can't charac

The writing was very nicely done. I liked the characters. Wish there would have been more back story on the dragon though, just to build more connection. Most of all, I would have liked the story to be longer in general. The things that were missing for me was some of their senses. like sound. barely much if any descriptions on their moans of pleasure, or the way their breathing sounded.

I liked the story but I do believe it needed to be fleshed out more for me to have LOVED it.

didn't expect it to be so short but i liked it. would have wanted to know more about Ja’darien hatred for dracs thou and with all the talk, there wasn't much of a D&S scene in it also Kerkira seem to hint at bottoming as well

This story left me wanting to know more about Kerkira, Ja'darien, their relationship and their world.

I really liked this world, was interested in the characters but it was just too short to get more than a 3.
Short story about 17 pages, less than 5,000 words. Seemed like it was snippet of larger story... Overall ok.

Very short story which didn't allow for the appropriate time to coherse submission and banishes a life time of hate. It would have been a great novel or novella.

2.5 stars rounded up.
Reads like first two chapters of a great book.
Too short. 3.5 stars, willing to round up to 4 :)
