An enjoyable read, even for someone who has quite a bit of background knowledge on the events, there was still quite a lot new to me.

The style is methodical yet spares us unnecessary language, making it easier for the reader to stay engaged throughout.

Recommended to anyone interested in the witch trials of the period.

Great booklet! Having recently read The Familiars by Stacy Halls, I wanted to find out more about the Pendle Witch Trials.
Stacy Halls writes a fictional story set in & around the pendle area & includes the actual real people involved in the trial.
This book gave an insight to the happenings of the time.

A nice and easy read; pretty methodical and factual, but isn’t too heavy with language. It’s a thoroughly researched pamphlet, and stays faithful to the facts without the author adding opinions etc.
