Finally.

If you are a follower of Richard and Rose, as I am, and you read this book, you will understand the first line of this review.

Throughout the series, Richard and Rose have had one nemesis that was intent on bringing them down. Now, R&R are no slouches in protecting themselves and being bad-ass when they need to be. So I have been waiting impatiently for Richard to simply take care of this problem.

In this installment, R&R and blissfully in love and Rose is pregnant again. Rose's s

I really enjoyed most novels in this series so far, but at installment #7 some parts have become repetitive and would need, for my tastes, a different development to be more captivating.

Richard and Rose make a great couple, no question about that, I really like them and follow them faithfully, but I think a big problem with this series is that the stories are told from Rose's point of view. And in order for the reader to get that Richard is a great hero, she goes on and on and on how much Richar

Maiden Lane…yet another stunning instalment in the Richard and Rose series. These two are just so interesting that I never fail to enjoy “watching” them as their life together progresses. They have such a strong bond that, despite terrible things happening that might break another couple apart, their love only grows stronger. They respect one another, and that is the key, I think. Although society has a hand in how they can behave in public, their little touches and looks light up my day. Their ...more

This was utterly smashing and my favourite of the series so far. With various villains up to their usual tricks, and Rose rather distracted by pregnancy and the troubles of her various young relatives, it's almost inevitable that she's going to get kidnapped in this one. On the other hand, I didn't see some of Gervase's moves coming, and now I love him more than ever. Shall be reading the final book in the series very soon, and hoping they all get a send-off as thrilling as the events in this bo ...more

I was born in Leicester, England, and lived in our cobbler’s shop with my parents and sister. It was an old house and most definitely haunted, but I didn’t find out until I left that my great uncle had hung himself in the living room! But I think our ghost might have been older than that. It was built on the site of the old Roman cemetery, and the land had been constantly inhabited, being in the c ...more
