Sixty-Nine is a Novel that tells the stories of three (3) friends that are turning 40 and vowing to open themselves up to things they've been closed to, to take chances and/or change things that need to change. As the stories unfold the readers get to indulge in all the different facets that make up these changes, personal growths and self-indulgence.

Pynk wove very interesting stories that are full of details and enlightenment and keeps you engaged from beginning to end. The paths that these fr

Good book--- quick read. Erotica with some life lessons thrown in. I would definitely read another book by Pynk.

The book helps women to understand, it's ok to talk about sex no matter your background. Speaking up about different things you like and dislike about sex. Learning your body inside and out.

I thought this was the author's most complete work to date. This book represented more thought and talent over raunch and unrealistic drama that seems to be so popular with certain other authors.

When the Clock Strikes 12

Three friends, all born in 1969, are together on New Year's Eve 2008 to bring in the milestone year and, in two instances, their birthdays. Darla is still mourning the death of her husband more than five years ago and does not know how to move on and live again. Rebe is recently divorced from her gridiron, cheating husband and raising a college age daughter. Magnolia wants to be married more than anything and keeps going back to things that will block her wish. These thr

This is the story of three friends, Darla, Magnolia, and Rebe who are undersexed. The were all born in the same year, 1969. They are about to turn 40 and want to make their lives better. The story starts on New Years Eve.

When I first read the title, I knew it was going to be an erotic book. I was surprised though that the name of the book was because of the year they were born and not the position (although, Rebe found herself in quite an interesting position!) I didn't know how much of a great

I loved this book and I even learned so much from it. The author was right about not letting the name fool you into thinking it's all about sex. It's about feeling empowered enough as a woman to admit that you love sex and that you enjoy being pleasured. It speaks to the thoughts that prevent us from not only fully enjoying sex bit not truly living our lives to the fullest. I am and neither is she talking about reckless behavior quite the contrary, the book is about letting go of inhibitions neg ...more

Shelves: first-reads, erotica
This book was flirty, sometimes fun, but mostly frustrating to read. Frustrating because although this book is mostly erotica, it felt like at times the author was trying to convey some sort of "deeper meaning or message." There were way too many corny one-liners and cliches used for me buy into the whole sexual freedom theme. The 3 women the story was centered around were so shallow and self-involved that I had a hard time caring about anything that happened to them. Parts of the book were ok, ...more

I received this book from First Reads at Goodreads.com.. This was a fanatastic book based on 3 women turning 40. This book is a very well written book with a tasteful opinion on moving out of sexual reprieve that sometimes holds us back from what we want.

This book took a while for me to get into. So, by the time I finally got in the middle I was really disinterested. But, I finished it and it was just ok. Didn't pack quite the punch her other novel did.

I didn't expect to like this book, thinking it would be in the vein of Zane. But it was pretty good. Good writing, well-drawn characters, intriguing storyline.

I don't know why the author has such a silly pen name though. :)
