Men of the Double-C Ranch #5

Married to a Stranger

When Is a Kiss Just a Kiss?
Back in sleepy Weaver, Wyoming, for his father's wedding, rich and handsome Tristan Clay found himself unaccountably attracted to bespectacled Hope Leoni—a homespun, hometown schoolmarm! With every fiber of his astonished being, he craved her innocent kiss. Just a kiss—nothing more. Tristan knew better than to flirt further with such sweet, virginal temptation…especially in this town. Yet in one short week his sensual attention compromised Hope's hard-won reputation, jeopardizing her job. And suddenly—though wedding bells gave him the willies—the only way to make things right…was to make Hope his wife!

4 stars. The last of the Clay brothers finds his soulmate. This was a nice fluffy read and I loved Hope who went from shy schoolteacher to a strong woman able to stand for herself. A few twist and turns and an unexpected revelation before they got their HEA, especially loved the epilogue and Squire's thoughts.

This has been one of my favorite harlequin books for years. Unfortunately it didn't hit the note on this reread. I usually love Tristan but he annoyed me greatly this time around. I just got so frustrated with him through majority of the book.

Total fluff book but I'm really enjoying this series. I really liked Hope's character, probably because she seemed like a normal person.
