This is a reference book, A to Z, listing EVERY fake band that ever existed in TV, movies or books. Name a fake band, from the most pedestrian like SPINAL TAP to fake bands mentioned in HIGH FIDELITY, and they're in this. Fan-fucking-tastic.

It has been awhile since I read this book, but I recall thinking it was pretty inclusive and the "See also" lists were waaayyy too long. Take them out and you have a much shorter book.
