Revisted this one and loved it even more second time round!

Now don't get me wrong, there were moments I wanted to smack Cade with a frying pan, but by the end I felt his love for Ally was deep and true.

The story reads like a peeled onion, with a fairly large caste. So for the first bit it took a bit to get a handle on who was who.
In a world where werewolves and other paranormal beings 'came out' in the 1940's, life is much the same. There are only male werewolves...
Ally lives with 3 werewolves. One of which she has been guardian to since she was 18 or so, and yet now that Dylan is 18 she still looks 18 or so. They travel from Texas to Colorado to unite Dylan with his uncle Cade who had not known his brother had had a child.
She has secrets, Cade has secrets, and others have secrets.
It's trailer trash meets Norse mythology meets Scottish wilds, all set on a Colorado ranch run by wolves.

Wish this author had written more. I would have loved to read about Becca when she grows up ; )

What a fantastic read! Best of the three books I've read by Kinsey Holley. I love the way Cade isn't perfect, but that makes him an even better hero. I could tell that the author had put a lot of thought into the characters and what made them individuals and how they would react in any given situation. You never get the feeling a character reacts 'out of character' just to push the plot a certain way. The plot was created by the people populating the pages. Even the 'bad guy(s)' were people too. Most impressive of all, the little girl was so believable. No smarmy cute-as-a-button girl who talks like an adult with a poor grasp of the English language. She was cute, but she was also just a little girl with all that entails. Sure hope Ms. Holley writes some more soon!

Yours, Mine and Howls wasn’t my thing. While I love all the usual trope characteristics that go along with the werewolf sub-genre (fighting, mating bond, pack hierarchy, different and usually more brutal culture, and action), I was uncomfortable with the autocratic, dictatorial nature of the pack structure in this book.

Cole (one of the Cole/Cade/Caleb/Chase group of heroes) is the Alpha of the wolf pack that the heroine, Ally, goes to live with. She, her cousin, their roommate, and the roommate's adoptive son arrive at Cole’s home because he’s the adoptive son’s uncle. There’s a long story behind this that is partially in the blurb and in other reviews, but this is the basis of the relationships.

Cole is autocratic to the extreme. In this universe the alpha doesn’t apologize for a decision, say I love you (“me, too”), lean on anyone, tolerate any difference of opinion expressed in their presence, doles out orders without any pretense of civility, lose their temper frequently, and try to kill close friends. This is tolerated and expected by the other characters so I understand that these characteristics are part of the world building in this book. It made me uncomfortable and I didn’t enjoy his character. 99% of werewolf heroes aren’t my personal type, but that doesn’t usually stop me from enjoying the romance. Cole was just too dictatorial, which is different from arrogant, for me.

Ally is presented as a female alpha, but goes the usual way of such characters. She has her plucky moments, the hero confronts her, and she backs down even though she knows he’s being unreasonable often without getting even the mildest of apologies. Ally calls Cole on this once, he refuses to apologize, and she just lets it go.

As an example of Cole’s behavior, he seduces Ally, which forms the mating bond without telling her about the bond. When Ally wakes up the next morning she is embarrassed both because everyone in the house knows they had sex and because since she didn't know she is Cole's mate, she misunderstood something he said and she stupidly decided to run off. Despite being warned that Ally is embarrassed and that she is out of her element in another culture, when Cole finds her suitcase packed he doesn’t talk to her, certainly doesn’t say she’s his mate, yells at her, forces her cousin to obey him to keep Ally a prisoner (thus putting both characters in their places), and locks her into her room until he decides to let her out. He laughs at her justifiable anger when he locks her in and tells his second in command “I’m not gonna keep her locked up for long, Michael. Just…for a while.” After he deals with some plot he thinks: “Maybe he should try to talk to her…Hell no. Let her stew.” There are absolutely no repercussions for this. He apologizes for hurting her feelings by making it sound like she didn’t have a chance with him, but not for locking her up or binding her to him without her consent.

As I said before, this is not my thing and I didn’t enjoy the book. I'm giving it two stars because the writing was fine and there weren't any obvious typos.

*Spoiler warnings*

13 years ago, Allison "Ally" Kendall died at the age of 18 defending her young cousin from his enraged, drunk werewolf stepfather. She died for her efforts and was reborn 5 hours later with superhuman powers and strength. With the help of a beta werewolf named Seth and another ww friend named Dec, they go on the run and Ally raised Dylan as her own. She eventually becomes the "alpha" of her own little pack of 4, even though she herself is not a werewolf. When Dylan turns 18, they discover where his true family lives in Colorado and head out to find them, since its become obvious that Dylan will be a very strong Alpha werewolf himself one day, and Ally wants him to learn from other alpha wolves.

Cade MacDougall is shocked but overjoyed to learn of the existence of his nephew Dylan. He's not so overjoyed with the package deal that comes along with him: Ally, Seth and Dec. He agrees to let them stay however because the Houston pack that had been sheltering them will recognize Cade's pack as legitimate if he does. It's soon apparent that these four additions have secrets that will change pack dynamics forever - if he lets them. The biggest problem of all is that Ally is Cade's mate.

This was a very meaty and satisfying urban fantasy/romance that reminded me somewhat of the Mercy Thompson series, in that the characters just drew you in and you really cared about them. Ally had secrets of her own, the least of which being she was once dead, and she tries desperately to keep them hidden because she doesn't want to be made to leave Dylan and her "pack" behind once they are found out. Dylan may not be hers biologically but she fights for him just as fiercely as any mother and in one scene when Cade tells her that Dylan is "his" now, she is a force to be reckoned with. I just loved her! She was a great mix of bad-ass mom and vulnerable woman who just wanted to be wanted, and loved. Cade was a gruff, almost mean, alpha in the beginning but when he bonded with Ally, the fierce protector in him really came out. He reminded me a lot of Charles from Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs in that he is one scary man but with Ally he is tender and loving. That's not to say Cade doesn't have issues - he does. And he hurts Ally several times but they are meant to be together, mate bond or not.

I really hope Ms Holley continues with this series. Great read that's going on my keeper shelf.

Some call Ally the alpha. She's strong, doesn't take crap from anybody, and protects her family. That's how she died. Yet somehow she came back, different. How can the things she does now be explained? Will her life ever be somewhat normal again?

Ally is one heck of a heroine. Her past is surrounded by tragedy, and at an age where most are starting their adult life with so much ahead, Ally is raising a young pup, Dylan. But she does this with no second thought or hesitance. Now that Dylan is coming into adulthood, she has to make a hard decision. And that's when they end up at Cade's ranch.

Cade is the alpha of his pack. He and Ally get off on the wrong foot. Neither can deny their strong attraction to each other, and especially when Ally bonds with Cade's impressionable young daughter. Though Cade is the alpha of his pack, Ally challenges him, but keeps him grounded at the same time. Their love/hate relationship at the beginning of the story turns into sizzling sexual tension before the two give in to their feelings for one another. Both Ally and Cade are not telling each other the full story though. Mystery surrounds both of them. They have to learn to trust one another when dangerous situations arise.

Ms. Holley writes this story with a lot of humor. There's plenty of snark and funny lines to go around that had me giggling. It lightens up the tension within the story. The secondary characters really flavor the book. Of course there's Dylan, the young pup on the verge of adulthood meeting new family for the first time. Even at his age, he loves and respects Ally, the woman who raised him since the terrible night when he was young. There's Declan and Seth, Ally's two wolf roommates that have been living with them as well. Cade's sweet and funny daughter Becca. She's a hoot, and really brings a lot into the novel.

Overall, I enjoyed this. The characters, plot, and suspense were strong. There is just the right amount of foreshadowing throughout that keeps the reader intrigued. Yours, Mine, and Howls is the second in the Werewolves in Love series.

If you enjoy alpha wolves, mystery, a strong feisty heroine, and humor, then you may want to howl along with this book.

This book is sort of like a sandwich. The beginning and ending felt like a whirlwind storm where so much information gets thrown at you that it's overwhelming. The meat in the middle though is delicious and worth savoring. Please forgive my food analogy, I haven't eaten breakfast yet. Yours, Mine and Howls is at its core a werewolf book and I really enjoyed that aspect of it. However, there's a bucket full of other supernaturals such as fae, selkies, shifters, Old Ones and the list goes on that turn this novel into a test of your powers of deduction. The main story is a gripping read but the many side plots and overabundance of lore weighs the book down.

I'm still not entirely sure what to think of Ally. She's a very complex character with both good traits and bad. She has all of the makings of a great pack alpha but there's only one problem: she's not a werewolf. As a result of a freak accident she now possess the strength, speed, healing abilities and smell of her lupine counterparts. When Ally finds herself living in a pack she butts heads quite severely with the alpha; which at first was understandable. It's hard to accept going from being at the top of the pecking order to the bottom. But after a while it got to be tiresome. In her place, I would have gladly accepted having such a huge weight lifted from my shoulders but Ally refuses to relinquish the reigns. She fights the pull that Cade has over her and she's incredibly stressed out about whether others will be able to accept her freakish nature. I wanted to like her but she was just so... abrasive.

The main plot was fascinating. It flowed well and was full of snark and funny lines. I enjoyed uncovering the mystery behind the MacDougall family. The blooming relationship between Cade and Ally was cute and dramatic. I found that they complimented each other well. That is, after Allison finally stops keeping secrets from everyone. That part of the storyline confused me a little. To my knowledge she wasn't sworn to silence so I had a hard time understanding why she just didn't tell everyone why she's different. I mean, they're werewolves. That in itself is an abnormality and I'm sure that they would have been open to hearing her story if Ally had tried. Why she felt the need to keep it under wraps is beyond me. I got several smiles out of their creativeness when it came to choosing out of the ordinary places to get-it-on. It added a much needed lighter element to this heavy read.

The downside of this tale was the numerous side plots. There's a murdering alpha on the loose, a crazy high fae, tons of family secrets, etc. The book jumps from one intrigue to the next and then back again. I struggled to keep up. Maybe a flow chart would have helped but that seems like a lot of work to invest in a leisurely read. There's also mad mythology that's compacted together at the end. If you can get past all of that and stay focused of the werewolves this novel is a good read. I think Holley tried to cram too much into one story. This was only her second crack at authorhood so I'll cut her some slack. Perhaps she'll iron out all of the kinks in book number 3. Yours, Mine and Howls is a fast paced, humorous read that'll keep you guessing and give you a few new creative ideas to try with your lover.

For starters, this blurb is spot on in its description. Ally does indeed have special abilities because of her brush with death and she takes her cousin to meet his uncle, Cade, an alpha of his own pack of loners. Cade and pretty much everybody else realize that something is different about Ally, but she's not spilling. Cade realizes that Ally is his mate and it goes from there. In fact, a lot of characters in this story have some secrets that they need to spill at some time. It definitely keeps the mystery and suspense going. And that's where the author just rocked this for me. This is a very well-crafted story, excellent world building and every character becomes intriguing because there's something we have yet to learn about them. Obviously, Ally has her secrets and Cade wants to discover them. It was very interesting to see a female non-shifter who was capable of standing up to the alpha and giving him a run for his money. It was kinda too bad that she softened with this towards the end and love let her let him take over. Then you have Dec, Sarah Jane, Sindri and even Becca with secrets of their own. And waiting to find out what's they are as little hints are dropped kept me very highly engaged. And, as there is a suspense plot and you're trying to figure out exactly who and what these villains are and what they're after and the mystery of Cade's past is unraveleed...all of it just well done.

I guess the only part of this story I wasn't a fan of was Cade. On the whole, Cade did make some growth, but this is an alpha wolf...a leader, who frequently loses his temper, loses control of his emotions and it very nearly causes harm to several people. He did kinda learn and accept that he needs to work on this, but yikes. He and Ally do have an interesting relationship, but there's a sort of power struggle going on at the same time and this is never my favorite thing. He, as alpha, more or less wants her to submit and trust in him...he still likes that she's kinda bad ass and in the end, when he's helpless to do so, he does entrust his daughter to her in a bad situation (and she trusts him). That was growth I'd wanted to see for sure. But he doesn't at any point make it to where he can trust her with his vulnerabilities. She is going to have to live the rest of her life with a man who won't show her his weaknesses or even submit temporarily to her and who NEVER says he's sorry (yeah, that whole issue with him showing off how he basically now controlled her whole family to put her in her place...dick move and he should have apologized, but it ended up getting completely dropped and never revisited even though he knew it hurt her). And then we end with a bomb drop about life spans and outliving children and we go on to the HEA with that question still up in the air. I suppose we have to imagine a Happy For Now instead and hope these things get resolved at some point in the future. I'd prefer a solution or option of hope in THIS book.

I do wish this author had exercised her craft more and put more books out there. If this is any indication, given it was her 2 full length novel, this author had some talent for storytelling and I'd have been in for the long haul (even if I didn't love Cade).

This was a very good story. Ally and Cade are both great and I really liked them together. The story is interesting with a lot of unknowns that don't come out until the end. It kept me engaged until the end, not wanting to stop until I knew all.

Ally is a great heroine. She's strong, smart and caring. She lost her parents at an early age and then, when she was 16, she also lost her aunt that was raising her. She lived on her own and helped her cousin, Gracie, look after her 5 year old son, Dylan. When things go terribly wrong, Gracie ends up dead and Ally (while trying to protect Dylan) is killed as well. Fortunately, through intervention by a higher being, Ally is brought back and when she does she has the abilities like an Alpha werewolf (although she can't shift). She raises Dylan as her own (along with their cousin Seth) until Dylan is 18. Around this time, they find out who Dylan's family is on his father's side and Ally, Seth, Dylan and a friend and roommate named Declan, go to Colorado so Dylan can meet his uncle.

Cade is an Alpha werewolf but his pack in newly reformed and hasn't been "recognized" by the other packs in the country...something he's trying hard to accomplish. He has a young daughter, Becca, who's mom isn't in the picture and for some unknown reason he has trouble keeping a nanny. On top of this all, he has a nephew he didn't know he had, coming to visit and bringing strangers with him, which Cade isn't real happy about. I liked Cade but he does start things out behaving like a bit of an ass. He does have some reasons though as Ally, Dylan, Seth and Declan all seem to be keeping secrets from him, making him rather uncomfortable and annoyed, which isn't a good state for the Alpha of a pack.

When Ally, Dylan, Seth and Declan arrive, things are tense at first. Cade expects obedience as an Alpha and Ally is used to being the boss of their little group so there's an instant conflict between them. It also doesn't help that they're both attracted to each other. Cade doesn't like being attracted to a woman he doesn't know if he can trust and keeps threatening to throw her off his land. Ally is used to being strong and doesn't like how she melts whenever Cade's around (which usually just makes her fight it and fight taking Cade's orders). They clash multiple times as Cade tries to get to the bottom of things that don't make sense to him. Ally also is troubled by the fact that it feels as though Cade is "stealing" Seth and Dylan from her, as he becomes their Alpha and they have to follow his orders and this messes with her relationship with them. This upsets her, making her feel sad and alone, especially when he keeps threatens to make her leave his land and Dylan and Seth, who are her only family. Fortunately, Cade soon stops threatening to make her leave as he realizes she's his mate and he actually wants her there but he starts pushing even more to get to the bottom of what Ally and crew aren't telling him. Since Cade doesn't tell Ally that she's his mate, it does cause some additional conflicts between them until it finally comes out.

Things get even more complicated when Becca's grandmother (on her mother's side) shows up unexpectedly and it isn't a welcome visit as she's threatened to try to take Becca away from Cade in the past. An Alpha from another pack goes loco and causes problems for their pack, including an attack that injures Cade and Ally is forced to use her abilities to save his life. There are also family secrets that Cade doesn't know about and they start coming out as the drama unfolds. In general, there are a lot of twists and turns in the story and multiple bad guys or possible bad guys that make things interesting and hard to predict. Cade and Ally do work things out between them and end up being a great couple that I really liked seeing together. They have to fight through some drama as secrets come out and unexpected things happen but they come through it well. Once everything gets settled, Ally and Cade get to start their well deserved HEA.

This was a very good story. I really liked Ally and Cade and the secondary characters in the story. I also liked the twists and turns because it kept things interesting. I'm looking forward to book 3 in the series. I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up! :D

What a surprisingly fabulous book. Unlike many urban fantasy books, this wasn't a simple tale of love and lust, leaving the reader wondering if life actually continues after a relationship starts. Lovely amount of story left to tell and I sincerely hope we see more of these characters.

Cade MacDougall is a former Army Ranger and Alpha of an small, but growing, all male wolf pack, made up of the disenfranchised and loaners. He has been working hard to get his pack officially recognized by the other packs. With a few of his wolves finding mates, things are looking promising. He has a 5 year old daughter, Becca, who thinks she is a cat. Having bought off her crazy fae mother, he has sole custody, but lives in fear of her maternal grandmother, finding his care inadequate and challenging his custody. The courts aren't kind to single werewolf fathers of daughters. His best friend and fellow Ranger, Michael, is his second. He has the male Brownie Sindri, who has long been in service to his mother's family and helped raise him to keep him grounded.
Ally Kendall was 18 when she died protecting her 5 year old cousin Dylan, after his father learned that he wasn't his son. The old one Eir, gave her a choice and she choose Dylan. Eir didn't send her back unarmed, she gave her the power of and Alpha, minus the shifting, as female wolves don't shift. Ally hasn't been alone, her cousins, Seth, a beta, has co-parented Dylan. Four years ago, Dec, Declan, MacSorley, another beta, joined their small pack. Dylan is 18 and a powerful Alpha and he needs an Alpha male to help his gain the need control. Dec suggested looking for relatives, and they found his paternal uncle, Cade MacDougall. Sadly is biological father Carson, is dead. After some trouble with an ex boyfriend. Ally decides that sooner rather than later to visit the MacDougall Ranch.
Cade and Ally butt heads. Ally fears losing her little pack and being forced away. Dylan has been her word. Seth like a brother. While she didn't like Dec at first, he has become family too. With little Becca's nanny running for it as soon as they arrived, she jumps in to care for her, hoping to find a place for her self with Cade's pack. Becca and Ally form a tight bond.
Cade realizes Ally is his mate. Misunderstandings nearly destroy their relationship. Then Sarah Jane, Becca's maternal grandmother, shows up.
Things are spiraling out of control. A pack Alpha is gunning for Cade. The pack knows that Ally is very different, she hasn't yet confided in Cade her secret. There is a strange fae male, lurking around, that has a strange fascination with Dylan and Becca. Sarah Jane, Dec and Sindri, are very tight and seem to be hiding something. The one thing Cade can't stand is lies. Everything he know about his mother's family has been a lie.
Fast paced, steamy, with great world building. Loved Cade and Ally, two pack Alpha's, who have to learn a give and take.

I believe Holley spoiled the ending of the book by shoving all the explanations and action into the last chunk of pages (I was reading an online version so the page numbers and lengths were likely off), which I thought was overwhelming and made it more difficult to process what the characters were divulging. The last few conversations between the characters were also cut short, like when Michael starts explaining why Cade's baby momma was crazy. That bit isn't even a spoiler because Holley didn't write the rest of the conversation. She just leaves us hanging, and that was a piece of back story that would have been interesting to read, though I believe the conversation should have happened earlier in the book when Cade said his baby momma was crazy and didn't explain further.

Before I reached the rushed ending (where everything that could go wrong did go wrong almost all at once) I was really enjoying the book. The ending of a book is like the marinade for a steak to me, the steak may be cooked to perfection, but if the marinade is unsatisfactory, the steak is not as tasty as it should have been.

I couldn't relate to the female characters in this series, at all. Flighty and indecisive. Meant to be seen as strong yet weak and stubborn. Because Ally ran, Cade was almost killed. Not to mention, she could have killed the guy sooner before he almost finished Cade off. She waited until Cade was almost dead before jumping in. Oh and no female weres? Since when? The first book was ok (although these are really stand alones) but no way can I make it to book 3.

Yours, Mine, and Howls PJV Quickie: I’m kind of picky about my shapeshifter romance and Ms. Holley got this one right: Great characters, a fae mystery, and interesting pack dynamics made ‘Yours, Mine and Howls’ a book I couldn’t put down.

REVIEW
Ally Kendall has been caring for her younger cousin, Dylan, since she was killed trying to protect him from his enraged werewolf father. She doesn’t know how or why she came back to life five hours after she died, but she did, and she’s been caring for Dylan for thirteen years now. They live in Houston with her BFF Seth, who’s a beta wolf, and another beta, Dec, who moved in with them about four years ago. They’re not really a pack though, and she knows the 18-year-old wolf needs a real pack. When they find out Dylan has relatives in a pack in Colorado, she knows a move will be best for Dylan, even if he ends up leaving her for pack life.  What she doesn’t expect is the sexy alpha and his adorable daughter to steal her heart.

Cade MacDougall saw his parents die when he was a child, and he’s vowed to kill the fae who killed his father. A few years ago Cade came back to Colorado to take over his father’s pack. He’s struggling to make other packs recognize his ‘new’ pack and at the same time raise his young daughter Becca (who thinks she’s a cat in a pack full of wolves) as a single dad. Living on his ranch and running his pack, he’s happy to meet and welcome young Dylan, but nothing prepares him for Ally – feisty, beautiful, and unusually strong and fast. There’s something different about Ally but he can’t figure out what it is and she won’t tell him.

Throw in a mysterious man following Dylan, a vicious pack alpha out for revenge, and family secrets dying to be revealed, and Cade is in for more than one challenge .

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed Yours,Mine and Howls; I don’t know why I waited so long to read this book! This was an interesting world to read – supernaturals are out and living among regular humans. I loved the pack and Cade was a delicious alpha.

Ally is a great heroine: she’s protective of Dylan and she’s been the ‘alpha’ of their little ‘pack’ but now she’s not the top dog and is having a hard time handing her wolves over to Cade. The other plotlines blend well into the story, keeping the reader interested and wanting to know what happens next.

Ms. Holley writes great characters that I’d love to see again. I enjoyed Yours, Mine and Howls so much I immediately bought the next book in the series, Ready to Run. (Ready to Run contains different characters in the same world)

RECOMMENDATIONS
I highly recommend for fans of paranormal romance: Yours, Mine and Howls will not disappoint!

Allison "Ally" Kendall died at the age of 18 defending her young cousin from his enraged, drunk werewolf stepfather, and was later reborn with superhuman powers and strength that rivals most werewolfs. With the help of a beta werewolf named Seth and another werewolf friend named Dec, they go on the run as Ally raises Dylan as her own. When Dylan turns 18, they discover that his true family lives in Colorado and they head out to find them.

Cade MacDougall is shocked but overjoyed to learn of the existence of his nephew Dylan. He's not so overjoyed with the package deal that comes along with him: Ally, Seth and Dec.

While Ally and Cade become closer their secrets pull them in directions that can threaten their future together and the future of Cade's pack. With out giving away all of the story, be prepared for many side plots that at one point make you do a double take while asking yourself "what am I missing here?" By the end of the book MOST of my questions that arise from the story we answered. Only 2 questions remained but I think that the author couldn't answer these questions so easily cause at this point in the series, or world she's creating, there is not a character we have meet yet that holds the keys to finding these answers. I'm hoping as the world develops thru the next books in the series, these characters and I will have all of our questions answered.

Although these books are considered a series the only thing connecting them is the world that that the characters live in. There are no crossovers in these books YET, and they can definitely be read as stand alone novels. I would love to see the secondary characters in this book show up and continue to enthrall me in further books.

Unlike the 1st book, Kiss and Kin, this book is a full length novel. One thing I loved about this book was that even thou we are given a lot of information at the beginning and the end of the book all at once, the middle slowed down to a very seductive pace to allow the reader to see each characters development and allows us to fall in love with all of them even the secondary characters.

This Literal Addict gives Yours, Mine and Howls (Werewolves in Love #2) by Kinsey W. Holley four out of five skulls.

On to the next one and As always my Literal Addicts, Happy Reading!!!!

After first reading Kiss and Kin I honestly wasn't expecting very much when I started Yours, Mine and Howls. And while it didn't knock my socks off, blow me out of the water,or take my breath away I was presently surprised to find that there was more to this book then crappy sex scenes.

The story starts out in the past where we witness Ally Kendall saving her cousin Dylan from his drunk stepfather and in the process, her death. But because she is our heroine, she doesn't stay dead for long and comes back a little different.

Fast forward thirteen years and that is where our tale truly begins.

Ally knows Dylan needs a pack to help guide him into adulthood and with her own problems looming over her she doesn't need another excuse to pick up and leave Houston behind.

Cade Macdoguall is the alpha of an unrecognized pack with enough on his plate to begin with. His daughter needs a new nanny, again and his pack is about to be acknowledged by a major Alpha. He doesn't need a distraction, not now.

But whoever is deciding their fates isn't listening to either of them and soon Ally and Cade find themselves tangled in each other's lives and problems.

From then on things are pretty generic.

The romance between Allison and Cade wasn't completely convincing to me, though that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, I just didn't totally believe it.

The plot built a fair pace and the action that filled the spaces between was fine. It didn't truly impress me but I did find it enjoyable.

What I absolutely loved about this book that I got none of from the first in the Werewolves in Love series was all the history and back story. Finally I knew some about where the author's paranormal aspects were coming from.

All in all, I think Holley did a much better job on this book then the first one and I applaud her for stepping up her game. Good job, Lady, good job.

Although this is the second book in this series, it can be read as a complete stand alone book. I haven't read the first one and didn't feel I was missing anything.

Ally is 18 years old when she dies protecting her baby cousin from his drunken werewolf father on the night that he killed his wife. 15 years alter Ally, Dylan, the baby now 18 years old himself, Seth another cousin and Dec their room mate are on the run after Ally has beaten up an ex-boyfriend who attacked her. At this point I was confused. If Ally had died in the first chapter, how on earth is she back, but all is soon revealed.

Dylan himself is a werewolf in need of a pack and Dec has managed to trace his only relative - his uncle Cade, an alpha living in the Rocky Mountains. The group soon settle in and Ally finds herself attracted to the alpha despite the constant arguing and defiance. Cade is not used to other people, let alone a female, standing up to him and he can't decide if she infuriates him or excites him the most. As you would expect, they soon fall for each other and Cade claims her for his mate.

Other things go on as well as the romance between Ally and Cade - an alpha from another pack's son, who has joined Cade's pack, tries to kill himself and the alpha blames Cade and wants his blood. A strange man also appears to Dylan asking weird questions of him. The ex-boyfriend of Ally's appears again. Cade's 4 year old daughter reveals her secret. Dec reveals a shocker of his own as does Sarah Jane, Cade ex-mother in law.

I loved the writing style of this book. The storylines moved fast enough and there was enough action to keep me entertained in this PNR book. I loved Ally's feisty-ness and the fact that just because Cade was an alpha didn't mean that she was going to lie back down and take orders she didn't necessarily agree with doing.

looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

From the first chapter, I got a very clear picture of the heroine, Ally. She’s tough. She’s been on her own since she was a teenager and she gave her life to protect her younger cousin Dylan when she was only 18. When a goddess gave her that life back (with a few bonuses) and charged her with the protection of Dylan, she took the job seriously. There is nothing she won’t do for him and that includes taking him to his long-lost uncle in Colorado where all her secrets could be exposed.

The chemistry between Ally and Cade is explosive from the first meeting. Cade is an alpha with a capital A and Ally has never taken orders in her life. She’s usually the one giving them. This leads to many laugh-out-loud confrontations between the two. Ms. Holley writes with a dry sense of humor that really shines during those scenes. Add in the action and mystery and you have a book that kept me reading way too late last night.

I haven’t been reading a lot of shifter books lately. I still have my auto-buys that I’ll hip-check a nun to get my hands on but I’ve been avoiding a lot of the new stuff. Many of them have gotten repetitive and I’m a little burned out. I hesitated to buy YOURS, MINE AND HOWLS because of this but I’m so happy I gave it a chance. Ms. Holley has written something fresh and unique with her shifters, fae, and Norse mythology and I’m looking forward to seeing where she goes with this series.

Ally Kendall knew the moment she died and came back to life that her one focus was raising her nephew Dylan. She did not know where her life would lead, but rolled with the punches which has led her to seeking out Cade MacDougall, Alpha and Uncle to Dylan with her cousin and friend in tow she is not sure what will come next.

It doesn't take long for Cade to realize he has met his mate, but she is nothing like he would have expected. She acts like an alpha, has secrets and unnatural abilities he can't explain, and has formed an attachment to his daughter who thinks she is a cat. With his enemies striking out and some unexpected visitors, Cade's hands are full especially with Ally's interference, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

This was a reread for me, but I chose to reread because I did not have a review and I had forgotten most of the story. This is a great shifter story, has some unusual twists and historic aspects to the shifter legends which was intriguing. Loved Cade and Ally she is feisty and he is arrogant, they clash, they storm around one another, and they sizzle off the pages when they come together.

I read the first one of this series and wasn't sure if I wanted to carry on. It was okay but nothing fantastic. I am so glad that I did. This was a really good read. I loved the characters and how they interacted with each other.
I loved Ally, she was strong and for the longest time I thought that she had been made into a were but was pleasantly surprised at the way things came out.
Cade was strong and protective just like we think that aphla werewolves should be. Ally would listen but she also would stand up to him which I liked.
I would love to see a stories for Michael, Seth, Dylan and Declan. Loved, loved, loved them. Becca sounded so cute. I'm looking forward to the next book even though it doesn't seem to be about the ones I wanted.
IMO it is well worth the read.

read the rating as 2.5 stars.

It was an okay read i guess but kinda seemed all over the place. Most of the time it just felt like too much was happening all at the same time. So many characters appearing suddenly really made it hard to follow what was going on.

In all my recent woofy reviews you will sadly find me saying that it lacked intensity, unfortunately this falls in the same category. They all just seen to miss the intensity that should be present between a wolf and its mate. The fire, the passions that spells forever. The possessive Mine that causes somersaults/butterflies in ones belly.

Lastly the one thing that absolutely NEEDS to be said . . . LOVE the title! <3 ;)

It's a great book, it really is, it just left me kind of unsatisfied. Just a heads up this book is in no way related to the first book, or at least it's not in any way I could tell. Secondly I have so many questions. Questions from last book, questions from this book, and none seem like they're getting answered. I feel like each book was missing a chapter or two at the end where you go "Ohhh" and it all makes sense. But the ohhh moment didn't happen and they threw so many hurried twist and turns in this book it just felt messy. It's like the author was so intent on putting surprise elements and making this book interesting she forgot to make them all go with each other and the plot so that's why I'm unsatisfied. Never the less this book had some pretty cool parts so 4 stars.

SOO much better than the first one!

i really loved the ideas and concept of this book. Although Cade annoyed the hell out of me sometimes with his macho bs. I know alphas are supposed to be domineering and strict but not to their mate. I mean he let Ally order him around a bit but he'd get really annoyed and irritated about it like a little girl.

despite my rambling, i really did love reading this book and the characters were really interesting and refreshing to read. the side characters were even interesting to hear about. i also loved how there were multiple conflicts in the story. it just made it all the more interesting.

Had some good lines but the whole alpha male got a little tiring towards the end. Not a bad read all in all.

“She called me baby.”
“Oh, well then, we’ve got nothing to worry about, do we? Hope she’s not the jealous type. Wouldn’t want her breaking my neck if she catches us in the shower together.”
“Shut the fuck up and help me get undressed.”

“First thing back from the dead, you start bitching?”
He heard a small smile in her voice. “Well, you can’t put a five-year-old in the front seat. Then Dylan turned around and said “Ally!” all happy like, and Seth turned around and saw me, and he screamed like a girl and drove the Cherokee into a ditch.”

A really nice paranormal romance with werewolves, a little mystery and a great relationship in the center.

I loved all the characters, the interactions between them, the fast pace of the novel, the writing style, it all just clicked for me. I loved the chemistry between Ally and Cade and both their fights and sweet moments. I liked the blend of strength and vulnerability in Ally and how Cade was an alpha male but also so sweet and caring with his daughter and everybody he loved. I liked the secondary characters, too, especially Dec, Dylan and Michael, which made the book all the more enjoyable.

I read Nanny Years and it was amazingly funny and very well written short story. I just had to know what will happen next. So I bought the kindle book and spent a day sneaking behind my PC to read it. And it was a great adventure. I was hooked from the start - the characters were believable and the storyline was really exciting. I think author has done a wonderful job creating this world with fae, werewolves and old gods. And now my only option is to buy the other books from the series and hope Kinsey W. Holley will continue writing these fantastic stories.

lebih bagus dr buku pertama, exciting en bener2 alur cerita yg ok.. alurnya sama sekali nggak ngebosenin, awalnya males bgt baca sekian ratus hal ttg werewlf. Tp ternyata bukan cm cerita tentang werewolf and his mate aja... tp ada misterinya en surprisingly unpredictable... almost sad when the story ended soalnya ada bbrp hal yg terlalu jelas, like Ally life spam, is she gonna be immortal like Cade or not? the writer didn't mention it 'till the end...I wanna read more...I want to know if she gonna live as long as Cade, are they gonna have children, is Declan gonna be back and so on ...

YOURS MINE AND HOWLS was another roller coaster ride of a read, and took some time to for me to settle down to it. After reading this second book I will say that packing alot of drama into her books probably will be apart of Ms Holley style – there is alot of stuff happening that made this read a bumpy journey for me.

If I could give this book a negative number I would. A sexist religiously oriented pierce of crap obviously the author does not know children, for every time Becca is mentioned it in conjunction with the TV show she is watching. Yep, Ally is great with kids anyone can sit in front of a TV with a child, its no great skill.
