Learn how to create and provision accounts, employ strong authentication and authorization, integrate legacy applications, and handle regulatory compliance. The latest performance-testing, self-auditing, and business intelligence reporting techniques are also covered in this comprehensive resource.
This book is well worth reading for anybody getting started in IAM as well as veterans. The author really does a good job of at least touching upon every major aspect of IAM. However, the details are focused on IAM for web apps. The author also makes a valiant effort to keep things generic most of the way through, but eventually has to focus on the specific offerings from Oracle, since after all this is an Oracle Press book about Oracle's IAM Suite!
There is a ton of information and sound advice packed into this 340 page book, which would otherwise be a 600+ page book if it were typeset with a larger font, which I wish it were because the font size they used is tiny!
Designing an IAM Framework with OIM was a useful addition to the library - but the strength to me was more around the business relevant approach to Identity and Access Management rather than the specifics of Oracle.
