• Algebra is the second-most popular mathematic course for college- bound high school students
• Nearly all college-bound high school students now take algebra
Guess I won't be needing this after all... It's a good self-teaching guide though (at least the first three chapters are), but *note to self* when studying algebra be sure to have some snacks on hand to fend off intense-concentration induced lows.
When I had trouble understanding Algebra, this book was a life saver! The explanations and examples were really helpful!
Though I remember there being some errors in the problems/answers, Alpha Teach Yourself Algebra 1 in 24 Hours assisted me in a way my teacher couldn't.
A serviceable study guide with an interesting hook (24 chapters called "hours"). Cook stays pretty basic and doesn't get into a ton of minutia. But as it's aged and new competitors are in the space I wouldn't recommend this.
