Great book for beginners. Some of the especially helpful areas include understanding the geology, and most importantly, how gold moves down along a river bank or mountainside. Reading this book will give you a fighter's chance at coming away with some gold on your first trip by being able to guess well as to where to setup shop instead of just picking a random location.
