An amazing history of one of the most misunderstood professions one can choose. While definitely more of a textbook, the writing style, voice, and organization make this quite a pleasurable read. Only thing is I would say that the last section is about the modern day funeral industry and if you want it for those purposes, I'd suggest getting the newest edition possible for obvious reasons.

Was not as comprehensive as it could have been. Decent if you know nothing of the subject.
