Joan was turned against her will, but now that she's part of a pack she's determined to protect all its women. Even if that means joining forces with a witch and a vampire--and leaving the comfort of Boston.
Escorting some female wolves to safety should have been easy for former bootlegger Seamus, but their leader, a prim ex-debutante with power to match his own, challenges him in every way. Before they can build a future, though, they must free themselves from the past...and a powerful man who's out to teach her a lesson she may not survive.
Undertow
Harsh experiences prepared Victor for anything--except resisting Simone, a young refugee who rouses his inner wolf. The last thing he wants is to be just the next man who uses her.
Once adrift, Simone is fired by the chance to broker peace between werewolves and European wizards. Yet her instincts--the same ones that led to trouble before--keep drawing her back to Victor.
When a storm traps them together during a full moon, she breaks through his walls so easily the question is no longer how Victor will stay away, but how he'll let her go...
How do you make a Moira Rogers? Take a former forensic science and nursing student obsessed with paranormal romance and add a computer programmer with a passion for gritty urban fantasy. Toss in a dash of whimsy and a lot of caffeine, and enjoy with a side of chocolate by the light of the full moon.
By day, Bree and Donna are mild-mannered ladies who reside in the Deep South. At night, when their husbands and children are asleep, they combine forces to unleash the product of their fevered imaginations upon the page.
This was a great prequel to the Red Rock Pass series (I was a little confused at first because I didn't realize it was a prequel, and a few things were confusing). It was a little less sexy (more chaste and sweet) than the Red Rock Pass series, but for the historical timing (the 1930's), it was appropriate, and the storyline, as always, was really good.
After checking Moira Rogers website, I see that next up is a series set several years after the Red Rock Pass series called the Green Pines Farm series. Four books are slated for that series, and I will definitely be reading each and every one! The first book, Haunted Sanctuary, is scheduled to be released (in ebook form) in January of 2013.
Few books have managed to sucked me in like this one has. Joan and Seamus not only fight to save her people but find a love they cannot ignore and it’s amazing. Victor and Simone are an unlikely couple but fit so well that I physically wanted to knock some sense into Victor. And then there’s Alex DuBois, and he ripped my heart out. I haven’t read the other books in the series and am not sure how this ones fits in with the others, but I loved it.
