2 1/2 stars. The main character was hard to relate to. I have no idea why he didn't just leave when the situation first got weird, right after he 'investigated' the waitress/actress/girl next door. But I have to admit that the story line was intriguing and I did not consider not finishing it.

This book was awful. I have no idea how Stephen King could have given it a positive review, which is why I read it. Awful, awful, awful waste of time.
