This story takes place at the beginning of the world. There are only a handful of people and the celestial bodies are not fixed in their places as they are today, which is awkward.

In addition to enjoying a story that I had never heard before, I learned some Mocobí vocabulary:
Dazoá, the Sun
Cidaigo, the Moon
Amanic, the constellation of the Southern Cross,
Raadic, the Via Lactea
Ypequim, the heavens
(Not sure if these are proper nouns, though)
