If you are, like me, not particularly thrilled by Database design and data modeling, but want a quick and concise guide to learn/freshen up your knowledge then this book is what you need!

Being only 140 pages thick is quite a plus for this type of book.
But covering the most important aspects of Data modeling with ER diagrams and the conversion to a relational schema in an understandable and concise manner, throwing in a catalog of ER diagrams, covering the normalization process, plus throwing in a few extra's in 140 pages is a real feat!!!

It would be a 5 star lil gem of a book , but its age (1995) makes it shine a little bit less.
Also the absence of UML in the part about Object-Oriented modeling makes it feel very dated...

BUT, being still relevant and interesting after all this years is a sign of quality!
[plus you get the funniest old kinda horrible pictures in some area's of the book, it is fantastic!]
