Very good with the coverage if Chile's history and city highlights but lacked any exciting photos! The best part about traveling are the amazing sights that await for you. I think perhaps my expectations were set high and hoping for a National Geographic Traveler guide which is filled with great images! This does it for city research and weather warnings. I also like the organization based on regions in Chile.

This book confuses me a lot as it omits some rather significant cities, such as Iquique and Concepción, which a visitor might plausibly want to visit. Some of the other sections (particularly Chiloé) seem somewhat incomplete and listings are outdated. At least one map had incorrect place markers on it.

A perfectly usable guide to Chile. Decent depth of information, reliable enough. Not particularly special, though.
