This is easily one of the best books on wine tasting I have read so far. It is chock full of information on the mechanics of tasting and on why wines taste the way they do, which is my favorite subject to read on in wine. The author was a wine educator from Canada who is now deceased so unfortunately there will be no updated editions of this book in the future. His teaching differs from the Court of Master Sommeliers in some respects but overall is generally in line. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand tasting on a deeper level.
