An average tale about a town where the residents are turning into monsters before dawn Reminded me of the game Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Some creepy imagery, but not much else.
Medal of Horror *****
One of the best stories in the series, even as an adult. Has some genuine drama and pathos at the end. There's a ghost boy haunting the pond and trying to kill the main character's brother. Fantastic story.
Kid Willie's Ghost ***
I didn't have as much interest in this story because I really don't care about baseball, but this one is similar to Medal of Horror enough that it's still okay. There's another dead kid ghost haunting a ballpark. I don't remember the other books being so frank about death. This was alright and had a nice ending.
Fright Time #3 has some great short stories geared for Young Adults. The stories dare to go a little deeper and scarier than other Young Adult horror fiction, and I enjoyed this as it kept the stories interesting. In my opinion, Terror Town was the strongest of the three stories, but there wasn't a miss here - all three were worthwhile. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series!
