Riletto Critone.
L'incipit
SOCRATE Come mai sei venuto qui a quest'ora, Critone? Non è ancora presto?
CRITONE È presto, sì.
SOCRATE Che ora è, di preciso?
CRITONE Manca poco all'alba.

Adesso torneremo a Kafka

Ao retirar-me, ia fazendo comigo esta reflexão ...more

Read this for a class. Went into it thinking it was going to suck the soul out of me, happy to say my soul is very much intact, and that I enjoyed this. Motherfucker deconstructed everything they put in his way, and when they decided to off him, he reasoned a happy ending for himself. Lessons in positivity lol.

Obviously had to read this for philosophy but I did enjoy it quite a bit! The writing is very clinical but not in a negative way.

Coerenza, fino in fondo.

I read this book for a philosophy course, the discourse of a free man defending his vision of the world and of philosophy in front of his accusers. Definitely one of the founding moments of philosophy.

Short but enlightening.
Running through the ideas of philosophy and oratory altogether and feeling Socrates' sense of justice in such old times... food for thought.
