Pretty decent book on designing and building walks, paths, boardwalks, patios and steps. Goes over sand/gravel base, concrete base and no base. Also brief section on maintenance. Goes over concrete, bricks, pavers and wood for the actual material. Also shows how to lay a curved edge and to level it and add a slope for drainage. Shows different designs you can form with bricks.
