A superb examination of digital media with a broad, solid theoretical base (and enough practicality to keep it mostly grounded). Campanelli does a great job pulling together and summarizing various theorists, philosophers, and artists. At times I wished there was more of his voice in the book, as the building arguments spend considerable block-quoting various others; but at the same time, it was nice to have the cited points thoroughly represented, rather than being walled behind reductive simpl ...more
