I actually didn't finish reading this book. I only got to page 48 before finally deciding this was just creating more stress in my life.

Although the ideas presented in this book are wonderful, and I love the format in which it is layed out, I just feel that in my current state, this isn't the right book to help me deal with depression.

It has so many exercises I feel more pressure and stress than I did not-reading the book, and stress is honestly how I think I've gotten to the point I have. The ideas presented in the book are brilliant, but, for me personally at this point in time, I feel that it's more hurtful than helpful. So I decided to put it away instead of pressuring myself to read something that was making me feel pressured. :)

I think maybe once I make a bit more progress on my own, this book may be a wonderful tool to invest my time in. Right now I'm reading "How to be Happy Without Being Perfect: Breaking Free from the Perfection Deception" and, honestly, it's working much better for me than this book did. If you find yourself stressing yourself out (as I did even with reading this book!) I'd highly recommend it.

This seems like a great book, it's just not appropriate for my personal circumstances right now.
