When I saw this book on Goodreads First Reads, I wasn't sure if the book was meant to be the most sacrilegious book ever made or if this was something created by someone religious with good intentions, but didn't realized what a joke their idea would turn out to be. Either way, I knew had to have it. Luckily, I was chosen as a winner and I received the book shortly after.
There was definitely some funny bits throughout the book, as well as some stuff I could have just skipped over. I found myself laughing more and more as I got farther into the book and explored all of the endings that were in the book. (And I want to add in here for the author, that I spent 15 minutes looking for a way to get to pg. 62 before I finally gave up and read it anyway. Good one.)
I definitely will be passing this book around to my friends because I know they will enjoy it and I would recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor interested in reading a book that includes the follow: Jesus being eaten alive, giant breast emerging from the sky, and the world's first sex change.

I received this book through Goodreads First Reads, and at first glance was a little skeptical of the imaginative illustrations, but once I started it, I was hooked! I have not read anything this funny in a very long time. Brock LaBorde's "You Are The Messiah!" is bringing the classic choose-your-own-adventure books back into style, and is by far the best kind of religious parody: the kind you can live in, again and again!

I won this on goodreads firstreads. This is a very nice little book for middle school age kids. I enjoyed this book.

Picked them up at an Inspire Pro wrestling show of all places, they worked with a local comedy troupe sometimes and they helped each other promote.
It plays out just like the old Choose your own Adventure but here you are the Messiah! While knowledge of the bible may help, it won't help as much as you think, sometimes to get to the places you know you should be you have to go where you have never been or heard or and other times the obvious choose leads you to an ending not befitting the SON OF GOD.
A fun story and seeing where it can take you while facing all the choices such as Legion, Lepers, Water into Wine, The Last Supper and the off the beaten paths you sometime go down, see what kind of Messiah you would be!!!
