Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health, is in public domain. Mrs. Eddy revised her book until her death in 1910, hundreds of times and she wrote on page 360, that revisions are "requisite."
The intent of my work shows that Christian Science is not limited to the inadequate human language. Science and Health is revised, not because of anything unfriendly, but because the ideas in the book are beneficial and helpful, so I understand your question and thanks for asking.(less)

Allow me a few clarifications before I begin this review. Then forgive me for a much longer review than I usually prepare.

[1] This book is about Christian Science (The First Church of Christ, Scientist), not Scientology. Don’t confuse the two! The former was founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1879, while Scientology was founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1953. Sorry, People magazine readers, this will not be a discussion about the divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (Cruise is a celebrated member of Sci

This book is fascinating. The ideas can change your life, or more acurately, help you see clearly, and feel loved and loving. I struggled through the original Science and Health, written ~100 years ago. I put the effort in because I met an amazing, strong, loving, creative person who told me her philosophy was found in this book. She was in her 80s at the time. I thought, "What is she thinking that allows her to grow more beautiful and wise with age?" I want to figure that out, so I can do that ...more

A relevant updated edition of Mary Baker Eddy's "Science and Health." Complete with relevant examples, updated medical discoveries, and modern vocabulary. Petersen preserves the scientific steps to higher body and mind while bringing the linguistics and examples into the 21st century. It's a complete guide to "Science and Health" for you, today.

The read, 21st Century Science and Health, is exploratory and thought provoking. It's a classic, therefore it has a surplus of meanings that reach beyond the particular meanings of the texts in their original settings.
The book is a lens by which we see a healing God and useful world.

I was raised on a farm, in a family of seven. After receiving my Bachelors Degree from Colorado State University, I got married (still married, more than thirty years later!) We have two fantastic, spirited, radiant daughters. We also fostered some wonderful children over a period of fifteen years. I had a public office as a Christian Science Practitioner for 13 years. One of the textbooks I study ...more
