1. This was has not received any awards.
2. The appropriate grade level is second grade and up.
3. Before pasta becomes pasta, it starts off as wheat. By harvest time, the wheat gets cut and the kernels are stored until it goes to the flour mill. The kernels go from powder to flour to dough. Then, it is cut by a machine into different shapes and gets shipped to stores where people buy them.
4. This book mentions the different ways pasta can be used such as to eat, paste into a picture, and wear it like an accessory. It contains all the steps of how wheat becomes pasta but the way the information is presented is dull. I can see students losing interest because I did as I read it.
5. a) An in-class use is to use pasta for arts and craft.
b) Another use can be to learn about nutrition.
