Reasonable overview, disappointing illustrations: I am planning a loft conversion and trying to decide how much can be done "DIY" and how much requires professional intervention. I found the book useful in providing an overview of the entire loft conversion process and I now feel as though I have a reasonable idea of the different steps involved.

I feel it is let down mainly by the quality of its illustrations and diagrams, which comprise a good percentage of the book. Some are inaccurate and many others appear to be included as "padding" - the book would be considerably thinner and no less useful without them.

I read the other reviews (some negative, some positive) before buying this book and decided that because it was inexpensive it was probably worth the risk. I am as yet undecided as to whether or not this was a wise decision!
