This book is only 96 pages, but each page is totally immersed in Scriptural wisdom. It's a perfect book for this chapter of life, so I would highly recommend it for anyone who is in a period of impending change. It lays out the peace and hope that comes with following the Lord's prompting without relying on the temporary nature of human feeling to make the case.

"Let us in every matter of difficulty apply the principles set forth in the Word for our guidance. Let us be strict with ourselves, careful about our testimony to our neighbors, jealous for the glory and honor of the Lord Jesus, but charitable in our attitude towards our brethren whom Christ has received." And that's just the last two lines! You gotta read it.

Originally written in 1946, this small book gives some good practical scriptural insight into discerning God's will for one's life. I went through this chapter by chapter with a university student (who surprisingly chose it despite it being an older book) who found the insight helpful. The strength of this book is its biblical foundation, with scripture references throughout to back up points. It is filled with wisdom, with an emphasis that God's will in many situations is already revealed to us in scripture for us to follow. In areas of any specific course of action to follow, the author is careful to point out that these situations are between the reader and God and that God's specific will for us cannot always be overlaid onto another life. The final two chapters talk about God's will in decision-making in a number of situations in society. This is where the book comes across as dated, as many of the situations are not issues with young adults today, though the spiritual principles behind the discussions are still valid. This would be an interesting small volume to read alongside a more modern book on the subject.

Short, quick and concisely edifying read. Have you ever felt, you've lost all purpose on Earth? This book shows that we all serve a unique purpose, that only we can carry out, it is our own destiny. I know this read may only be a blessing to read, great source of enlightenment. Once your mind is expanded through the reading of this book, it will never go back to it's original dimensions. May you never be the same.
