The novel about Altair was then written by another author with a different title ("The Secret Crusade") and published after two books about Ezio. I read it and it was pretty good.(less)

This is a first Book of the Assasin s Creed Series, the origin of Assasins. This book is more realistic than any other books. This is non fiction. U will understand Revelations and Brotherhood after u read this book.
