I received a copy of this novella in exchange for a review, and I'm glad I did. I previously read Gravelle's The Bamboo Heart so the was part of the attraction, but I also liked the idea of The Fort Providence Watch. it is a worthy addition to the corpus of Jack the Ripper tales. What I particularly liked was how the author engaged my senses, especially my sense of smell. I could see, hear and smell the scenes described. This was a fascinating read to say the least. I finished this in 1 day and a half if I could have stayed up I could have had in read in 1 day. The characters have a way of grabbing your attention and you do not want to put this thrill
