Discover all of the amazing things that can happen around the world in just one day!
You already know all of the amazing things that can happen in just one minute on Earth, so think of what could happen in a whole day! Your taste bud cells are replaced at a rate of 50,000 a day. Almost 40,000 trees are cut down every day just to make paper bags. And a mayfly lives its entire life in a single day. This book is full of fun facts about space, technology, pop culture, food, animals, sports, the human body, and more!
Every day on Earth amazing things are happening. How would you like it to be summer all year around? The Arctic Tern spends summers in Antarctica and when summer is over, it goes to the Arctic to spend another 6 months in daylight. I found myself reading amazing facts to my kids and husband as I was reading.
The title practically explains it. Each page is an fact about Earth, and it was cool to learn what can happen in a day. Since this is informative, many people who read this will learn a lot!
I left this book sitting on the counter, and my son immediately grabbed it. Then another son took it from the first one. I thought, "Oh, wow, a book my boys will not only read but swipe from each other." I love that! This colorful book is chock full of delightful, interesting, and sometimes gross details--all the things that make reading fun for kids. It would be a delightful read aloud for mom/dad and child because there's so many cool things to talk about, or a great addition to a classroom library.
Really fun book filled with fascinating facts about the earth, the human body, sports, food, etc. all capturing things that happen every day! For example, the national average of text messages each day is 17, compared to 3.3 texts per day in 2005! I really enjoyed this book! It was fun!
I'm happy I read this. I saw this in the local library and couldn't resist. A children's book, more like a graphic novel, but, these are just too good to ignore.. :) Who said you can't learn from children's books? This is a really good, light change from reading too intense novels, while you also learn various facts regarding what's happening around the world, in your own body in 24 hours. The book stands up to it's title, 'Every Day on Earth: Fun Facts That Happen Every 24 hours', delivers what it promises.

I like this book because it makes learning these facts fun. If you like books about fun facts or non-fiction books, then you should read this book.
This is a book of facts divided by topic (sports, food, pop culture, space, etc.). I found it a bit random. There were one or two interesting facts I learned while reading it to my 7 year old. She liked it though. It's fairly current but covers a few outdated items like fax machines.
This book is good and helps people to learn about what things that you learn about the earth and what happens on some days that we help the earth. I like this book because it shows things that I really did not know what we're that for.
