The first time I read one of the books in this series was to prep for a trip to Kuwait. I was so impressed by the essential information, presented in a concise and clear way, that every time I go out of the country, I grab an "Enchantment of the World" book before the journey. It gives a great Wikipedia-type of overview of the country, covering everything from vocab norms to political history. While it is brief and somewhere surface level, I find it a super useful primer for general info purposes. I got a lot out of this when I traveled through Argentina. Read for Argentina trip to BA, Mendoza, and Iguazu, 2022.

The series, "Enchantment of the World," is a resource my local library has for information about the countries I plan to visit on my vacation. These books are written for 5-8 grade Social Studies students and teachers.

Finally, this book gives information about popular singers which might be of interest to students who can listen to worldwide music on Pandora. The singer mentioned is Charley Garcia.

I recommend it to all readers.

This is definitely one oF the better children's book I've read on Argentina. Blashfield gives a good summary of the country, provides great additional resources, and uses reachable vocabulary for young readers. I was surprised she did not emphasize Evita or Juan more, however. Blashfield did provide an additional resource about Evita, but I am uncertain if a young reader would realize her importance from Argentina.
