Beyond a Dream
By: Mark Krebs

This wonderful book tells the story about a young man from Newport, Kentucky. His mother's spirit helped him feel better about what was going on in their situation. Through seeing all of her determination it drove him to try to take a chance and transfer to a division one basketball team even though he did not have the talent that everyone else did. His mom once said to him, “Remember to always live, love, and laugh because look at me, life is too short and living is

Beyond A Dream by Mark Krebs: Mark Krebs had one reason to write this book, and that was to inspire people and give people the hope and the drive they need in order to achieve their dreams and reach their goals, to show people that you have to believe that even when adversity hits, no matter how hard, from what direction or even at any time in our lives that if you're strong enough and focused enough on the problem itself then you can overcome it. In the book Mark Krebs talks about his life lead ...more

"It's in the trials and tribulations, the ups and downs, that our character is created. Sometimes it's during the journey to reaching our dreams that we discover the most about who we are and who we want to become. Life is so much more wonderful when you embrace every day as a gift." - by Mark Krebs

While reading this story, the following scripture stood out to me. "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.". Psalm 90:12

The story of Terri's fight and how Mark and family coped was very inspirational. The fact that Mark was a University of Kentucky basketball player was only a plus. I'd recommend this book to any Kentucky basketball fan as well as anyone who likes a great inspirational, tug at your heartstrings story.
