The Secret of the Pink Pokémon takes place in the middle of the plot arc of the Orange Islands season. It covers these episodes: "The Crystal Onyx", "In the Pink", "Navel Maneuvers" and "Snack Attack." It skips a few other adventures like the resurrection of the Kabutos.

If you're a fan of the Pokémon cartoons, Tracey West's novelizations are fun. They include stills from the cartoons. West tries to get to the reason behind different characters' actions which adds an nice and unexpected depth to these sorts of books.

As with the other West books the stories are grouped thematically at the expense of chronology. She doesn't put things out of order but she does skip whole plot arcs to bring together similar stories that might be separated by weeks in the original airing.

The book was about a pokemon trainer. That he stopped the Snorlax from eating the berries. The characters went to different islands and found rare pokemon. I liked the book because I found a new character: A Pokemon Watcher: Tracey. I liked that the Snorlax was eating the berries. I learned from the book that I never want to give up. I would recommend the book to Maria Ines, Carlos who is my uncle & Natalia, because they like Pokemon too.

My Review: My son has really gotten into Pokemon lately and I honestly know nothing about it, so before he read this series of books I thought I would give them a try. I honestly found it rather entertaining. It was easy to read even though I haven't read a lot of others in the series, I was able to understand who the characters were and picture the settings. I do kind of wish these books were a little longer, even my son was able to read them in under an hour!

I'll be doing a review of this book on Literary Gladiators in a few months. It was great, with three stories intertwined into one. My favorite is the segment with the Crystal Onix, where West remains true to the anime and does a great job visualizing and interpreting the "spark" that the young potter needs. He certainly finds it in the Crystal Onix. I'll review the rest of this on Literary Gladiators so check it out!

I think the most interesting part is when everyone found the crystal onix in the water-filled cave. I never knew that eating a certain type of fruit can turn your skin pink! (for Pokémon)

It was fun to read this book out loud to my 6 year old and do different voices. Finally, years of watching Pokémon as a child came in handy.

A good kids book. Looks at pink and crystal Pokémon and Ash caught a Snorlax. Overall a good kids book or a good book on the Pokémon adventure for adults who want to relive their childhood memories.

Continuing the story of his time on the orange islands. Fun reading how Ash caught his Charizard and the interesting Pokemon that he encounters on his trip with Misty and Tracy.

The book have three problems. I like the third problem I love the way that Ash, Misty, and Tracey solve the problem. I don't like the Team Rocket they're are so mean they tried to steal the pink pokemons and they tried to steal all the fruit. There were a lot of characters. My favorite pokemon was Jiglypuff. I laugh a lot when I see the Snorlax it was so funny. My favorite character was Ash because he was so creative. One thing I want to change is that Ash, Misty, and Tracey all the times they fall so hard put them something soft to land.

You know, for a book constructed entirely of simple sentences and basically summarizing episodes of a TV show, it's still infinitely better than a huge chunk of books that I have read that were meant for adults. Infinitely better.
