Story of a little girl and her dad who have to cope with the breakdown of the family when the mother leaves. Only the little girl's doll, Lucille, helps her cope with this loss. But Lucille needs mending and only the mother was able to do this - until the girl and her dad meet Chrissie, who mends Lucille and eventually marries the dad. Moving depiction of a little girl's grief at the loss of a parent. Some very complex imagery from Sarah Davis, which adds much to the simple text.

This book is an amazing heartfelt book, which depicts the loss of a young girls mother, and how she struggles to find belonging again, absolutley amazing but i have to say it will make you cry some parts. I definitly suggest it as a must read
