Seeing Red Cars: Driving Yourself, Your Team, and Your Organization to a Positive Future

Rate this book
Surely you’ve experienced something like you buy a red car, and suddenly red cars appear everywhere. Why? Because you’re focusing on red cars—and you get more of whatever you focus on. But much of the time, consciously and unconsciously, we dwell on what we don’t want, and that’s what we get. Drawing on the latest scientific research, Laura Goodrich shows you how to stop fixating on negatives and rewire your brain to focus on positive outcomes.

Unique and practical exercises—including a free online toolkit—and dozens of enlightening real-life stories help you identify what you truly want so that it drives everything you do. And Goodrich shows how Seeing Red Cars can build organizational cultures in which employees are playing to their passions and strengths, focusing on what they want, and achieving breakthrough results.

This is a simple and straight forward way to improve the quality of your personal and professional life. Laura Goodrich has taken a step by step approach to discovering your wants, focusing on positive outcomes, and designing a compelling future.

This is a tool disguised as a book. By following her plan, you can discover your strengths, be accountable to your goals and become a well-rounded contributor both personally and professionally.

At times, the book was a little technical, but it also included inspiring stories that provided additional insight into how to use the Seeing Red Cars philosophy.

I recommend this book to both individuals looking to improve the quality of their lives, families looking to build a more cohesive and happy future and businesses looking to build morale and a better quality atmosphere where success is a natural outcome.

If you look for the good in people, you'll find it. If you are waiting for someone to make a mistake - they will. This is an awesome book for anyone looking to grow personally or professionally. I think about the lessons Laura brought up - and I think about them when I'm parenting, working with clients, and even when I'm talking to my husband. This is a fabulous book for all ages and stages!
