A change of your perception of the world can modify a dull loathsome day into a time of gratitude and beauty. Mastering your perecptions is key to living a fulfilled life. This book is one I return to when I need to see my life and the world around me from a new point of view.
The subtitle is "What do you see when you look at a rose?" and it attracted me because I always want to know more than the surface. Much of this dense little volume is personal, illustrative anecdotes, interesting in themselves and pertinent to the topic under discussion, and some philosophical musings that are also germane. However, an additional amount of the book is of the feel-good, self-help variety that makes me yawn. Thus, three stars and an appreciative thanks but no cigar.
