Commemorative Edition for 90th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme - Oversized Oblong Hardcover in Dust Jacket - With CD Rom Included) - 226pp - Index - Color Plates - Maps - Tons of Original Photographs
I started reading the ninetieth anniversary edition of this book. Thirty pages in, I encountered a picture of a line of Sopwith Camels, which weren't introduced until long after the battle had ended. A little respect, please. (Possibly the publisher's fault, but DK really should know better!)
It seems to be pretty much the Blackadder view of the battle, too. I'll go back to Christopher Duffy's "Through German Eyes"; I started this one to get an overview but think I would just get misinformation instead.
