I really enjoyed this romance, which was the second in the book I had read. Good story and also
Christian which has a different blend of romance and thoughts. Really turned out well. Don't want to
spoil it for you. You may like it if you are romantic and Christian. I sure did.

This story cut to the heart of the true meaning of Christmas. It could have taken place at any time of the year but the Christian background made the story more touching. Jesse Slater has lost a lot: his Faith, his wife and his sense of belonging. If it wasn't for his 6 year old daughter, he might not have survived. He knows his mother had deeded their house to him but when she died, his step-father sold the farm to someone else. Then abandoned the young boy. Jesse, after his own wife's death by a drunken driver on Christmas Eve, decides to find a way to get his inheritance back. And so begins this Christmas read. . .

Reviewing this for what it is. Books like this are to books what Hallmark is to movies—cliche and predictable feel-good stories that aren’t trying to be anything else. I rate these stories based on 36 factors. Sometimes my favorites rate lower than my least favorites and vise versa. I do my best to be well-balanced in honesty of rating while allowing for bias of ranking.

Out of 9 love-inspired books I’ve ranked and rated so far, this receives a rating of 58%. Despite the low rating, I do like it and rank it among the books I will eventually reread.

I liked this book about two people who have to learn to trust each other. The author writes well, and the action in her story moves quickly. It is a story of redemption--a Christian theme; and, indeed, the novel would be listed as Christian fiction.

I really cared about the characters in this book and wanted them to be happy. A bit sappy at times, like a Hallmark movie, but a good lesson on God's forgiveness and grace.

I loved the story but once again a little less religion would have made it better. I like some religion in it, but the theme can go overboardyThe little girl and the dog really made the story.

Simple, clean romance from Steeple Hill. This line of books usually include a Christian message and a little bit of a mystery. A quick, enjoyable read.

This is the first book that I have read from this author. It was a quick read but a bit predictable.

Sweet, quick read, single dad seeking work, lands at a Christmas tree farm owned and run by a single mom who had been hurt by love. You can draw the conclusion, I'm sure.
