The Glenlake Hawks are having a great hockey season ― on the ice and in the dressing room. Tom and his friends take some of their team spirit to the classroom and in the schoolyard. But after a funny presentation in the class, they are sent to the principal's office. Can the boys use hockey teamwork to save the day?
This is a Shining Willow Award Nominee. The boys in my class are going to go nuts for this book. It is about four boys who love hockey. It is a nice story that mixes hockey with school and friendship. The illustrations, although black and white, are really nice too.
It was a nice story but was very short. He read it in half hour. It has 74 pages but big print and some pics. I think it would take an average grade 2 about an hour to read it. Good for before bed or car ride. Or a read aloud by the teacher.
