For anyone who loved or disliked the previous novel "Enemy Lover" I guarantee you'll love this novel just the same or much more. There's a heavy plot set on paranormal alone and boy oh boy this novel is steamy!!!

Daemons, Hellkeepers of the underworld have a plan to remove one thing Vampires need to survive "Human Blood" Everyone is after the "Cask" it's basically an atomic bomb to kill the Human Race. The L.O.S.T team, the Order and the Hellkeepers all w

I have absolutely no clue what so ever how Harlow squeezed so much action into this book. The action is non-stop from the very beginning. There are numerous evil doers in Enemy Mine. The plot twists were shocking. On one page I would think a character had nefarious intentions for a certain reason then a couple of pages later I find out the character I thought could not possibly have an evil bone in their body is an enormous evil, for reasons I would’ve never guessed. I loved the suspense of this ...more

Karin Harlow’s latest offering in the L.O.S.T. series will not disappoint!

Non-stop action, kick-ass heroine with an equally alpha hero; who just happens to be a not-vampire. Yep, you heard that right: Not-vampire. That's the best way for me to describe L.O.S.T. Operative, Nikko (aka Johnny) Cruz.

Selena Guererro is a half-daemon who is involved with a couple of bad-ass guys in the Miami area. Of course, serving her own purposes while trying to placate them. It's enough to make your head spin, but stay with it because it one hellu

How much engaging action and passionate sexiness can be put in one place you ask? Apparently a lot! In Karin Harlow's newest release of the L.O.S.T. series, readers are immediately thrust into the action as one Special-Ops member embarks on a dangerous journey of life and death, and of facing one of the most difficult realizations of his life: He didn't succeed in killing his ex.

Welcome to the L.O.S.T. {Last Option Special Team} world. Here you'll find a closed world where humans and supernatura

Nikko, aka Johnny, had served his time..maybe not so much in a prison but in his own mind…going over and over again how he had killed his true love because she had killed their daughter. Years later he finds himself dying on a mountainside only to see her appear before him. Very much alive. Not sure what he saw, he only knows he awakens with what seem to be superhuman powers after the last thought of her sticking a needle in his chest comes to him.

Selena has had a hard time letting go of the pas
While two characters at odds can be good for quality sexual tension, in Enemy Mine Harlow has created two such unlikeable and irrevocably damaged characters, their relationship makes me think of restraining orders more than happily ever afters. For pure sexual tension, it's definitely dark, violent, and red hot. At the thought of these two behind a white picket fence raising children, however, I break into a cold sweat.

This book has so many elements that I love which makes writing a review that much harder for me. I feel like the good book fairy has made a sneaky visit to my house in the last week or so because everything I've read, about 9 books in all, have been awesome. Seriously. And Enemy Mine kicked off the trend.

It all starts with the cover. I love the flash of fang combined with the full pouty lips. Delish. Oh, you wanted to know about the book? Kidding.

Paranormal Romantic Suspense is my new favorite.

I loved the first book in this series, Enemy Lover and was thrilled to receive the ARC for this book in the mail. While this book is part of a series, if you have not read Enemy Lover you could still read Enemy Mine without a problem. Karin includes enough information and back story for a new reader to understand the world of the L.O.S.T. operatives. There are characters that we have met from the previous book that play roles in this one and it was nice to catch up with them and see how they wer ...more

Enemy Mine is a non-stop action romance in the L.O.S.T (Last Option Special Team) series. This series focuses on men and woman warriors who risk their lives to serve the president in dangerous and covert work.

Selena is a half-demon. She would do anything to protect the ones she loves, even betray them. On her latest mission, she meets a ghost from her past - a man that she loved and hurt. When she finds him near death, she uses a

I got a copy of Enemy Mine, the second in Karin Harlow's L.O.S.T. series when I was at AAD in Philadelphia last year, and yes... it has taken me this long to read it. Not because I didn't want to, just simply because I got so many books whilst I was there. Get to it I finally did and I was so pleased I did because I enjoyed it. It is a summer book, it's a sit by the pool with your drink and drink in the rays book, it is a cuddle up in the airport book... in other words it is a great summer read. ...more

Well… it was better organized than the first one - no character mix-ups, no crazy punctuation. OTOH…

It reads like the most trainwrecky harlequin presents you've ever stumbled across - with vampires and other non-humans.

Many moons ago, our H met our h, they got together, they made mad whoopee for months, she got in the family way and then… dear old dad found her. Why is this a problem you ask? Daddy is a demon. Daddy wanted the unborn baby. Rather than confiding in the H and maybe making a joint

Enemy Mine (L.O.S.T., #2) Enemy Mine by Karin Harlow

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finished Enemy Mine and with the nice HEA I can probably stretch it to a 4 Star reading experience but the first book Enemy Lover seemed a bit more fun, when you need a change of pace and these are a cross between Black-Ops and paranormal with a central romance in each one (and yes plenty of sex for those hormonal challenged of you) I can recommend them, lot of action, the requisite angst (not a requirement for me but obviously PNR seems to re

I love this series! Karin Harlow has created such an interesting organization when it comes to L.O.S.T. It's a mix of a group of renegades, thrown together into a special ops group and then to make things even more interesting, some paranormal elements are added in.

With Enemy Mine, we get a reunion story with a twist. In Nikko's mind, Selena is back from the grave (that he happened to put her in) and he's bent on making her life miserable for break
Although I didn't like this one as well as I liked its predecessor Enemy Mine is not a bad book - it is a solid 3star entry to the series.

The lower rating is because the characters weren't as likeable and more often than not I wanted to strangle the both. Partially because couples with a past tend to spend several chapters rehashing what went wrong and this was no different.

It started with with hijacked nuclear components destined to be part of a plot for world domination. As our star couple ent

Sort of a soldier meets paranormal mixture. The world was interesting, the plot good enough, and I liked most of the characters. I really liked the Vamp stuff at the end and the bit with Joran. That has me curious enough where I might pick up another one.

My major problem? The relationship between the hero/heroine. I liked him, but I didn't care for her. I liked that she was kickass and did what she needed to do, but at times s

I find this book really hard to review. Karin Harlow has done a great job with her world-building, and this series has a wonderful group of characters, and they will probably keep me reading.
I wasn't so keen on the H/h of this story though. I found the inner monologue of both a bit repetitive. They still loved one another, but couldn't be together, and he would never be able to forgive her past. I got it. The first time. The whole book seemed to pass before this was resolved. It took some of my

Started off great and went awesome, but then 2/3rds into the book it went downhill. It was all wishy washy and lame towards the end that I skimmed the last few pages. My problem was that the characters started off strong but then fizzled out. It surprised me b/c the world building was so great in the first book and the characters were strong throughout. However there was a cliffhanger towards the end of this book. We don't know what is happening in the background and so in that end I hope the ne ...more

This is a well thought out story line. It was refreshing to see all this military intrigue be combined with paranormal. I liked seeing it from both perspectives, Nikko and Selena's. However, it was sometimes confusing when their true names were brought into the story. Nikko used to be Johnny, and I can't remember who Selena used to be. Both however were brought back together in a great story. I was entertained from page one to the end. Harlow set up a whole world and didn't bore me in the proces ...more

Johnny (aka Nikko) and Selena are very interesting characters, with a hurtful past and now with a same goal in mind. Selena does everything in order to protect her love ones, even if they will hate her in return. Nikko's transformation gives him an advantage because he can't really be much help if he is normal. The events that lead up to the final showdown is very chaotic, that I become confused with some of the scenes. It is also an emotional roller coaster that makes you mad at first then be h ...more

A great stand alone book from this series. Although I do reccomend you read the 1st book to this series. The Plot and pace really keep me turning pages, I got completely lost in the orginiality and worldsetting. the Character are very realistic and you do grow attached to them. The writting style was enjoyable. The cover... *Drool*. I loved this book and I think anyone who reads it will too. To find new authors, Great books, Giveaways and MORE!

I liked the dynamic of this story.

there are daemons and vampires and hellkeepers and a cute kid

Daemons want to destroy vampires who hold the power in the 'Others' council by eliminating the vampires food supply.

Kick ass daemon slayer Selena has father issues..

Father of the cute kid thinks he has nothing to live for..

just remember... bribery always works!!! :p

Quite a surprise.
Nice to be reminded they are still out there.
I really wanted to like this book, but it didn't live up to the awesomeness of the first book in the L.O.S.T. series. The premise of the book was solid and the action was enjoyable, but some of the things done by both the heroine and hero prior to where the reader picks up the story, left me going ughh. Crossing my fingers that Book #3 (and I'm sure there will be another book given the appearance of an interesting new male vampire) will get this series back on track again. ...more

I really liked the first book in this series, but this one just doesn't do it for me. I had a hard time connecting to the story or the characters. After 20 pages I wanted to quit, but I put it down. can't rate this book because the male lead is a dick (as in he sees his wife who he supposingly killed for killing their little daughter) and the first thing he does? Tries to have sex with her on the spot instead of asking what the hell is going on... Says tons about his intelligence and sensitivity, doesn't it? No, thank you. I'd rather stop reading now and save myself some grief.

Lots of turns and twist in this one. Anyone who likes action and romance will enjoy Enemy Mine. This book has a great mix of family, political, and romance issues. The herione wants to kill her daddy and her former lover tried to kill her. What a ride the characters are taken on to get back to each other.

The second book in Ms. Harlow's L.O.S.T. series, Enemy Mine pits L.O.S.T operative Nikko Cruz aganist the woman he loved, and thought he killed, half-daemon Selena Guererro. The two meet up and the old sparks ignite, but underneath this PNR/UF/Suspense blend of a story, lie secrets and mistrust and enough angst to satisfy most fans of the genre. ...more
