Despite being decades old, Torelli is still relevant when studying this subject. It is a well-thought out study on early Empire reliefs and monumental altars. However, it was a bit difficult in some places. Torelli uses many Latin quotes without translating them. I suggest having a working knowledge of the language when reading this book! He also incorporated some greek; at least THAT, I understood!
