The cute, fluffy dog see a pretty leaf drifting in the wind and starts chasing after it, only to find himself very lost. He is frightened and see a police officer, who notices his tag with his address and takes him home. Little doggy is happy then!
Good story for early readers to practice their reading.

I would personally not use this in my classroom. The main characters are focused on animals and one police officer and there are is not a meaningful context to the story to open conversation. I think that it could be used for sight words only.

A sweet story that shows one of the ways police officers can help people.

This puppy chases after a leaf and gets lost. The point of the story is that the puppy looks for a poice officer and het gets home be the officer taking him back. Police officers are portrayed as friendly helpers.

This is a good book for a very early beginning reader as the pages average about one four-word sentence each. The illustrations are very sweet.
