When troubled teen Elisha wakes up in a strange bed with a sore head and bandaged wrists she has no way of knowing just how far from home she really is. Having been transported to a strange school in a distant land without her knowledge or consent, she struggles to understand this place that has become her new home. Making friends and learning lessons isn’t the difficult part however, rather it is coming to terms with the ghostly apparitions that infest the grounds that proves to be the real challenge.

Could the school be haunted or is there another even stranger explanation for what is going on around them? And just how could the love of Elisha’s life turn out to be a man who died centuries before she was even born? Find out what lies on the other side of the mirror in this superb novel that mixes drama with science-fiction and ghost-stories.

The adventures of the deliriously happy but slightly insane…but even insanity appreciates company. K.R. Smith aka onaya3 is a self-confessed writerholic, but rather than seeking help for her addictions, instead she indulges her obsessive compulsive disorder. The remotes must sit in order on the coffee table, as must her DVD collection which includes Star Trek, X-Files, Supernatural as well as British comedy. However her passions which come out as popular subjects in her sci-fi, supernatural, romance series are traveling (the world and through time), hauntings, werewolves, vampires, voodoo, ESP and always looking on the bright side of life (and death).

I'm not a huge fan of YA but sometimes I can get beyond the teenageness of these people and get to the story. Not in this one. I tried hard to just it one more try each day since it had such a high rating. But I give up. Not for me.
