The first half of this is a really excellent read. The sections on instruction sets, execution piplines etc, give a great description of the reality of CPUs as the electrical level. The section on GPUs is good but the sections that follow are less detailed. The first half is excellent though, and worth the price entirely on their own.
A really nice introduction to computer architecture in the context of the Raspberry Pi. Although I can see it being used as a school-level CS reference, it really is well-written and engaging enough to read from cover to cover.
Very good book for starting to learn basic computer architecture. Very detailed and covers everything. Learning about Raspberry Pi was also interesting. Focused extra on ARM 11 processors and covers the different component history aswell. I would definitely recommend this to someone who want to learn more about computers
